Souters Sports Limited, one of the leading sportsturf contractors in the natural sports surfaces market has been attending training plan workshops over the last 12 weeks with CITB-ConstructionSkills. The workshops, which are run in conjunction with Salford University and the Construction Knowledge Exchange, allow the participants to work out their own solutions to specific issues through the action learning process - In this instance to put together a training and development plan to help improve the infrastructure for all types of training within the sportsturf construction industry.

Robert Heath, Contracts Manager attended the workshops on behalf of Souters Sports: 'Attending these workshops has enabled us to develop a training plan for all our staff - from managers, office staff, foreman to operatives and labourers.'

Heath continued: 'This has given us a great foundation to evolve the company into the next sector in terms of health and safety management and also staff training and empowerment.'
