STIHL launches its most powerful battery-operated chainsaw for tree felling in noise-sensitive environments

STIHL has expanded its professional battery-powered range with the launch of the MSA 600 C-O – the most powerful battery-operated chainsaw on the market.

Designed for arborists and use in professional landscaping and municipal services, the new chainsaw delivers exceptional cutting performance for demanding tree felling and large timber applications in urban areas.

Maximum productivity with STIHL low-noise battery technology The MSA 600 C-O is designed for use in urban areas thanks to its low-noise characteristics, ideal for arborists and landscaping professionals working in noise sensitive environments. Delivering an impressive 5.9kW power output and compatible with guide bars up to 90cm/36”, the MSA 600 C-O combines the performance required for demanding cutting applications with the benefits of battery power.

Controlled by a digital panel, operating options, include:

To deliver smooth operation, the machine also provides a five-second activation time between work steps.

Smart STIHL controls, easy maintenance, and all-weather performance The new chainsaw has a large in-built LED display for at-a-glance monitoring of the machine and battery status while on the job.  The tool also has a double-layer metal mesh filter for the protection of its motor and electronics, which is easy to remove and clean, reducing interruptions for busy professionals. Plus, the tool’s splash-proof design makes it ideal for use in all weather conditions.

STIHL smart lubrication benefits for efficiency The MSA 600 C-O has an integrated oil pump, which allows professionals to easily adjust the flow rate of the oil to suit their requirements. This reduces oil consumption and means professionals have full control of the saw’s operation for managing running costs.

STIHL’s ALLPRO system for fast flexibility The new MSA 600 C-O is recommended for use with two STIHL AP 300 P batteries, powered by STIHL’s new ALLPRO system. When combined with STIHL’s new AL 1802 MO High Speed Dual Charger it can be charged to 80 per cent in just nine-minutes.  This can also be achieved when working remotely, by combining with the PS 2000 Portable Power Supply.
