IMG 8051The Grass Group brings an exceptional group of high technology turfcare products to BTME, which will help course managers care for their turf with greater efficiency.

Making its debut at the show is Trilo's new B7 three-point linkage mounted blower, the perfect choice to blow leaves, litter, standing water and debris off golf courses, sports grounds and synthetic pitches. Equipped with a hydraulically operated 180 degree reverse spout, the B7 can work quickly and conveniently to either side of the tractor and can access awkward corners with ease.

The impeller is statically and dynamically balanced to ensure a smooth and vibration free operation. Wide castor wheels and an anti-scalp roller to the rear to follow the contours of the most undulating course, and the B7 is ideally matched to tractors from 30hp. From the tried and tested Trilo range, the B7 will be an asset to any groundcare fleet.

Presented for the first time in production format, the new RGD140 disc overseeder has been modified and refined with input from customers of The Grass Group since its initial introduction at BTME 2011. Built by renowned manufacturer Dairon, the RGD140 uses an adjustable height disc to cuts a slit which is opened with a following coulter.

Accurately metered seed is sown directly into the groove which is pressed closed using a flexible rear roller. Light and compact, the RGD140 has excellent contour following capabilities and is ideal for overseeding confined areas such as golf greens and tees but at 1.4m wide can also tackle fairways, cricket fields and football pitches.

IMG 1434Drive for the seeder is taken directly from ground contact with the rear roller and the RGD140 can be handled by a compact tractor. A new modular seeding system allows all seed types including coated and wild flower seed to be sown, using a soft inner cup which does not damage the seed regardless of size or shape. In hard conditions additional weights may be added to the frame over the discs to ensure maximum penetration is achieved.

A further example of the cutting edge products on offer from The Grass Group will be on show at BTME in the shape of the ATT INFINIPower Hybrid. This advanced pedestrian mower combines the TMSystem interchangeable turfcare cassette system with a new hybrid petrol/electric pedestrian traction unit.

Incorporating a 1.5Kw generator coupled to a Honda GX120 engine, the traction unit delivers a continuous 48v supply to both the traction drive and cutting cylinders' motors. Representing a new generation of hybrid mower, the INFINIPower Hybrid is capable of powering all of the cassettes currently available in the TMSystem.

The Grass Group's Tim Merrell comments: "We have something for everyone at BTME this year, whether they are looking for a fast and easy way to keep the course tidy, improve turf quality or maintain greens to the highest of standards with a turf friendly, efficient mowing and care system. We look forward to introducing visitors to our range, which marries proven technology with the latest and most innovative ideas."
