Toro Greensmaster Mowers really get the Ball Rolling

Lesley Walkerin Industry News

Toro GR Flex 21Toro's popular Greensmaster Flex 18 and Flex 21 pedestrian greensmowers now benefit from a new 14-blade reel, which promises a crisper and more consistent cut without compromising your long-term turf health - even when cutting below 0.100 of an inch (2.5mm).

Where once it was a case of the lower the cut the greater the chance of turf damage, Toro's new 14-blade reel - an industry first - means you can mow at a higher height of cut while achieving the same ball speed as at lower heights. This reduces the risk of scalping and ensures a smoother, sharper cut on even the finest of bent grasses.

As a result of the rise in blades from 11 to 14, the Flex 18 and 21 are able to achieve increased clip frequency without the need to increase reel speed, which translates into reduced turf stress, truer ball roll and superior putting surfaces. This breakthrough is complemented by already proven benefits, such as the impressive 'flexible' design the Flex 18 and 21 are famed for.

Featuring flexible cutting units mounted on a dual-axis suspension system and supple drive shaft couplers, this technology allows the mowers to flex from side to side and backwards and forwards. This means the mowers can hug contours on the most undulating greens, shaving the turf right down with virtually no scalping.
