TORO Irrigation at Harrogate Week 2010
Toro Irrigation believes its renowned Golf Decoder Controller (GDC) irrigation system will be the star attraction of its show stand at Harrogate Week 2010.
Highly cost-effective to both install and operate, GDC uses a two-wire path to communicate to buried decoders, thus eliminating the costs associated with traditional decoder systems. This simple and expandable system also enables optimum use of water so that users can make the most of this precious resource.
And making its show debut is the B Series golf sprinkler range. Offering all the great features and performance of Toro's best-selling large turf sprinklers, the B Series sprinklers' more compact size has been specifically designed for block systems. Boasting a rugged golf body design, small exposed surface diameter, flanged body for stability and check valve that prevents low head-drainage, Toro believes these sprinklers are perfect for every golf application.
B Series sprinklers also benefit from the industry's largest selection of high-performance nozzles and main nozzle trajectory adjustments, which enables them to deliver the flexibility to maximise the uniformity of every area on the golf course. What's more, the part-/full-circle drive allows users to simply and economically adjust the area of coverage to match seasonal watering needs in seconds with no additional parts required. A standard check valve also eliminates low head drainage, water waste and soil erosion.
The DT (Dual Trajectory) Series golf sprinkler will also join the show line-up. Dubbed the most advanced, durable and flexible of its type on the market, the recently introduced DT Series boasts many of the proven functions of the company's best-selling 800 Series and features a special 'selectable trajectory' that allows simple adjustment of the main nozzle to either 15 or 25 degrees so as to better withstand wind or avoid obstacles. Toro has also invested heavily in improved nozzle design to ensure uniform coverage.
DT Series sprinklers are available in two types - full-circle only or full- and adjustable part-circle. This means that where part-circle capability is not needed, such as on fairways, customers can opt for the more cost-effective full-circle only sprinkler to meet their requirements for maximum convenience, efficiency and long-term cost of ownership.
Also on the stand is the Otterbine range of aerating fountains. Combining beauty with functionality, these stunning fountains prevent water-quality problems like algae, foul odours and even fish deaths by oxygenating water in ponds, lakes and water features.
