Following the recent floods that have hit vast swathes of the country this winter, MD and former first class cricket groundsman David Bates has been travelling the country assessing flood damage to cricket pitches for a number of clubs. He says:

"So many clubs have had what can only be described as a disastrous start to the year, with their natural and non-turf cricket facilities being flooded and the wet weather looking set to continue. We've been called upon by a number of clubs to help them assess the flood damage to their cricket pitches so that they can approach their insurance companies with an appropriate plan of action to put things right.

"We strongly advise clubs to call for expert help before starting any major clean-up operations as with both natural turf and non-turf pitches flooding can leave unseen damage that will require expert intervention - acting too soon or carrying out the wrong procedure could easily make the situation worse."

In addition to helping clubs remedy the effects of flooding, the team has been busy working with clubs kick-start their pre-season natural turf maintenance, with works starting earlier than normal due to the warm, damp weather conditions that has seen the grass plant continue to grow in many areas.

Elsewhere, the company's experienced in-house groundswork team has been busy installing its tp365 ECB approved non-turf cricket pitch system as part of projects to build brand new and refurbish existing practice net facilities for clients as far afield as Birmingham, Hertfordshire, Exeter, Gloucestershire, Essex and Somerset.
