Tough flail collects on grass

7748.jpgThe flail mower is the established tool for clearing long, wet grass and wild flower meadows efficiently, but at sports facilities and municipal sites, the requirement is for a clean, tidy finish.

Campey Turfcare offers the solution with the new Omarv flail collector, It combines a heavy duty cutting rotor with a high capacity collection hopper capable of tipping directly into a truck or trailer.

Available in 1.4, 1.6, and 1.9m cut widths, the robust mower features a 325mm diameter hydraulically driven rotor with shovel blades to chop through the densest vegetation.

Clippings are blown to the collector via a broad chute, minimising the risk of blockages. Hopper capacity is a massive 6.9 cu.m depending on model, and hydraulic high tip allows unloading into a truck or trailer for easy removal.

Power requirement is 50 to 100hp, and operation could not be simpler - functions from height of cut adjustment to emptying are electro-hydraulically controlled via an in cab console with joystick.

An optional hammer rotor can be fitted to break up brash when collecting pruning's/branches, further extending the versatility of the flail mower collector with a diameter of up to 100mm.

It is an ideal machine for contractors, local authorities and even golf clubs wishing to keep rough areas tidy. Built for heavy work, the Omarv features automatic drive belt tensioning and centralised lubrication.

Richard Campey comments: "The Omarv is a superb flail mower collector. It guarantees 100 per cent collection for a tidy finish and is far superior to anything else on the market."
