Unsung Heroes Open 2006 awards
Terrain Aeration's Unsung Heroes, Arthur Williams and Ian Willett opened nominations for this year's awards which will be announced during Harrogate Week in January.
Open to all U.K. Greenkeepers and Groundsmen, the awards highlight the efforts and dedication employed by greenstaff, "over and above the call of duty," which too often goes unsung. Judged by Gordon Child (BIGGA), Derek Walder (IOG) and Steve Gingell (STRI), the winners, one groundsman and one greenkeeper will receive a week's hire of a house in the South of France provided by Terrain Aeration, with travelling expenses donated by Greenkeeping magazine and Pitchcare.
Nomination forms are available on the Pitchcare website, in the October edition of Greenkeeping or from Terrain Aeration on Tel: 01449 673783
