Announcement - Cranfield seeks sports surface alumni
To mark the fifth anniversary of the launch of Cranfield University's highly respected MSc Sports Surface Technology programme, the University is hosting a reunion event on 8 February 2008, to which all alumni will be invited.
The MSc Sports Surface Technology - the highest qualification in the sports surface industry - has seen over 60 students successfully graduate since it was launched in 2002. In order to cope with increasing activity in a thriving sports and leisure industry, the course was designed to meet the growing demand for individuals with a combination of the technical, engineering and management skills needed to effectively manage sports surfaces and facilities.
Pablo Munoz Vega, an MSc student who graduated in 2006, highlighted how the experience has benefited him in his career, "This MSc has given me strong scientific understanding and practical experience of sports surface technology and management and also fantastic experiences through site visits. It has also developed my oral presentation, essay writing, team working, and language skills. I now believe I could meet any challenge in the sports surface world."
Cranfield are seeking any alumni from the course who would be interested in attending this event. The Sport Surface Technology MSc Reunion promises to be an exciting day for all involved.
