BASIS Sponsor INNSA Conference

Editorialin Chemicals & Fertilisers

The Invasive Non-Native Specialists Association (INNSA) is the industry body for companies involved in controlling and eradicating non-native species in the UK. Our activities are split between providing advice, support and services to our members and influencing the EU and UK policy agenda and guidance on non-native invasive species.

With the first Annual INNSA Conference only a few days away on Tuesday 24th March, the Association is delighted to announce that BASIS (Registration) Ltd and other industry related companies, will be sponsoring the event.

Delegate numbers have been snapped up for the Conference, and with limited space available, invasive weed specialists, along with property professionals such as conveyancing lawyers and surveyors, are encouraged to take this last chance to book their space to avoid being disappointed.

The Conference will be a defining event for the invasive weeds specialists and property professionals, with a legal expert providing a briefing on the implications of the provisions of recent legislation for property owners with invasive species on their properties.

INNSA will launch its new Code of Practice at the Conference which will be the quality mark on which all land and property owners can depend in the remediation of invasive species, including Japanese Knotweed.

Mike Clough, Chairman of INNSA said 'this year's conference is a must attend event for anyone involved in the invasive species industry as well as property professionals more generally. In particular, Invasive Weeds remediation contractors should attend to consider signing up to the INNSA code and becoming INNSA members.'
