Family status. Married to Stephanie for twenty-five years.
Who's your hero and why? All the NHS and key workers.
What's been the highlight of your grounds career so far? Being able to work in professional rugby, cricket and football.
If your younger self saw you now, what would he think? He did ok.
Which famous people wind you up? Any BBC news presenter.
What job would you love, other than your own? Professional sportsman.
What is your favourite film? The Blind Side.
What scares you? Heights.
What would your autobiography be called… and who would play you in the film? 'Bloody Weather' with any ginger bloke.
What is your favourite sport? Rugby League.
What would you cast into Room 101? Weather forecasters.
Which historical time and place would you most like to visit? Wembley 1966.
Do you have a lifetime ambition? Not anymore … just enjoy life.
Which three people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party? My dad, my mum and my wife.
What's the best advice you have ever been given? Bullshit baffles brains.
What's your favourite piece of trivia? The average person laughs thirteen times a day (I'm not average!)
What's your favourite smell? It should be grass being cut, but it's actually bacon.

What's the daftest work-related question you have ever been asked? How do you get the different shades of grass? My answer is different coloured grass seed.

What is the single most useful thing you could tell a 16-year-old groundsperson? There are no shortcuts.
