Grass Group grows its product ranges at BTME
The Grass Group launches a revolutionary new mowing solution at BTME 2011. Details are still under wraps, but The Grass Group's Tim Merrell reveals: "The fully floating Infinicut system from Advanced Turf Technology (ATT) is an industry first offering infinite adjustment of clip rate and featuring a patent pending floating head mechanism has no wear parts and offers more consistent cut than any other mower on the market."
"We are expecting it to make a big impression at the show - it needs to be seen to be appreciated." This exciting mower is also fully compatible with ATT's TMSystem, offering a complete range of turf management tools in one efficient unit.
With eight individual cassettes, the TMSystem allows greenkeepers to mow, groom and roll with one machine, or deploy a number of mowers with the relevant cassettes to prepare greens to tournament standards in one efficient operation. It is fully interchangeable between all main stream makes of triplex greens mowers and light weight fairway mowers
Making its BTME debut is the new ED 130 TS dethatcher and spiker with collection box, a handy two in one renovation machine. With the PTO engaged, ED is a precise dethatcher, capable of working from 0 to 60 mm deep, and offering fast, clean removal of thatch from fine turf. Detatch the PTO and the ED becomes the ideal spiking machine for golf greens and sports fields.
Working width is 1.3m (52in), with 159 knives at 23mm spacings for thorough scarification or slitting of fine turf. With a power requirement of 20-40hp, the ED 130 TS can easily be handled by a compact tractor. A collection box gives a tidy finish and tips for easy emptying of debris.
Tim Merrell says: "Every greenkeeper wants to get more out of his machines. With the powered, variable speed dethatcher, height adjustment to suit greens, tees and fairways and a hydraulically dischargeable hopper, the RotaDairon ED 130 TS is the tool for all golf courses".
Also expected to draw the crowds is the Dairon overseeder, a tried and tested seeding solution for golf courses. In a single pass the seeder provides turf rejuvenation by scarifying the soil and overseeding to renovate turf with additional, precision sown seed. Progressive knives with helical mounting on an oversized rotor create grooves for the seed, which is accurately sown either inside the grooves or inside and between them ahead of a firming roller to give optimum germination and a rapid return to play on a revitalised green.
"We have an extensive range of products for greenkeepers, showcasing some of the most exciting technology in the industry as well as proven solutions for fine turf, and we look forward to discussing visitors' requirements at the show," adds Tim.
