Martin Sampson WBG
Martin Sampson, our Senior Instructor based on the South Coast, achieved a 100% pass rate with a group of PA1/PA6A candidates last week. This was Martin's first Safe Use of Pesticides course and the candidate feedback on his instructing skills was very positive.

The training took place at Ferndown, Dorset, at excellent facilities kindly provided by Ferndown Town Council.

Further public PA1/PA6A courses will be offered at Ferndown on a regular basis throughout the coming months, and Martin is also available to deliver to groups on site within 50 miles or so of Ferndown, minimum 3 candidates.

Martin is fast establishing a Groundsman Training satellite operation based around the Hampshire/Dorset area. He has worked closely with Christchurch and East Dorset Council to bring their grounds team fully up to date with spraying, machinery and equipment operation, and Induction training for Seasonal Staff.

Training is also available for groups of 5 or more on our popular Lantra accredited Sports Turf Maintenance courses, which Martin can deliver at any venue within 50 miles or so of Ferndown. These have been developed particularly for volunteer and part time groundsmen/greenkeepers and give a basic overview of all the processes, machinery and equipment required to create and maintain a quality playing surfaces. Sports covered are Cricket (2-courses, Summer maintenance and Autumn renovations), Bowls and Football/Rugby. There is also a course on the maintenance of synthetic surfaces.
