Five Lakes 3.jpgErnest Doe & Sons, Ransomes Jacobsen dealer for Essex, has recently delivered a huge fleet of new course maintenance equipment to the prestigious Five Lakes Hotel, Golf, Country Club & Spa, situated near Tiptree in rural Essex.

The equipment, with a retail value in excess of £500,000, also includes a fleet of 20 electric powered golf cars with onboard chargers and single point battery fill system for easy maintenance.

Course Manager, Paul Millard commented, "We run with a lean team here at Five Lakes and therefore need quality equipment to ensure that we provide our guests with the optimum playing conditions at all times. Take the three Jacobsen G-Plexs as an example. Their speed, efficiency and quality of cut is excellent and we specified them with rear roller brushes which result in less arising on the green. We have also taken three Jacobsen Fairway 250s, one with grass catchers, which is a dedicated machine to maintain our UEFA-standard football pitch."

Andy Turbin, Sales Manager at Ernest Doe added. "Five Lakes have taken the equipment with a five-year full maintenance package, which includes one of our service technicians being on site for one day every fortnight to check out all of the equipment. This is and excellent piece of conquest business for us and we have been working closely with Paul and his team to ensure that the changeover went as smoothly as possible.

Five Lakes Hotel, Golf, Country Club & Spa features extensive leisure, health, beauty and sporting facilities and nestles in 320 acres of beautiful Essex countryside and surrounded by the two 18-hole golf courses, The Links and the Lakes.

Director of Golf, Tony Bermingham said, "We have a superb leisure complex here and our goal is to provide the ultimate resort facility in the region. We are delighted with the package of equipment and the level of service and support from the Ernest Doe organisation. This is definitely a two-way partnership and we're pleased to be able to offer our facilities to Ransomes Jacobsen for the dealer launch of their new HR 3300T out-front rotary mower recently."
