Ian Lacy talks about fertiliser applications
Ian joined leading supplier of fertilizers, grass seed and plant protection products Everris in March as Technical Area Sales Manager for parts of London and South East England. He is looking forward to returning to the event where he'll be joining his colleagues in educating visitors about the importance of applying fertilizers and plant protection products correctly.
"I'm excited about returning to the show with Everris," Ian said. "In my new role, as with my previous one, I'm passionate about education. There are lots of ways to learn, but you can't beat practical demonstrations, as turf managers have discovered by attending our Turf Science Live and Pitch Focus events this summer. Selecting the right product for your situation is essential, but so is applying it correctly if you're going to achieve the best results."
Demonstrations
On stand F61, near to the 'Ask the experts' area, Ian and his Everris colleagues will be carrying out spreader and sprayer calibration demonstrations at 11am and 2pm each day. Visitors are invited to visit the stand throughout the show for advice about Everris products, turf management issues including nutrition and the control of weeds, pests and diseases, and to find out more about their site could benefit from tailored iTurf integrated turf management programmes.
Michael Fance, Senior Technical Area Sales Manager for Everris, will be co-presenting with Dr Simon Watson from Syngenta as part of the BIGGA seminar programme on Wednesday 4th September. Their seminar, focusing on an integrated approach to disease management on golf greens, takes place at 1pm in the grandstand. One BIGGA CPD point is available to CPD-registered greenkeepers who attend.
