LDCA demonstrates water management systems at Saltex

LDCA-pic---water-attenuatio.jpgThe extremes of this summer's excessive rainfall and flooding, and last year's drought, highlight the importance of integrating drainage into an overall water management scheme. With the focus on SUDS, water recycling, and rainwater harvesting, the integration of drainage with irrigation, water storage, and water attenuation systems needs to be considered.

The LDCA will be featuring aspects of water management on its stand at SALTEX this year with a demonstration of the installation of water attenuation tanks which can be used in conjunction with drainage systems for sportsturf, parks and amenity areas, as well as hard surfaces such as car parks and other areas to alleviate the effects of heavy rainfall.

These relatively new systems are being demonstrated by the LDCA for the first time at SALTEX and will be of interest to local authorities, sports clubs, golf courses, race courses and everybody concerned with drainage of open spaces.

Information on sportsturf drainage will also be available from the LDCA on stand number DAA 41d or more details can be found on their website www.ldca.org
