Leading Boughton to Success

Boughton Loam are pleased to announce changes to the Board of Directors at Boughton.

Following changes to the company's structure, Simon Hedley has been appointed Managing Director. Simon previously held the position of Business Director, running the Loam side of the business based in Kettering. With the separation of Boughton's machinery division based in Derby to form its own company, Simon has taken over complete managerial responsibility for the entire Boughton business.

Simon Hedley comments that "I really look forward to meeting the challenges of continuing to steer Boughton Loam through to ever increasing success. With the strengthening of the Board and management team, Boughton Loam is in a fantastic position to take advantage of the many opportunities that lie ahead"

In addition to Simon's appointment, Richard Chinn has been made a Director of the Board as a reflection of the expertise and dedication he brings to the company. Richard has worked in the business for 24 years and will continue running the Sales & Operations.

Emma Ayres, Group Managing Director, made the announcement at the Bennie Group Christmas Party held on the 28th November saying "I am delighted to welcome Richard to the Board of Boughton and I am looking forward to working with the team to develop the business. We currently have a lot of opportunities opening up to us, let's just say we won't be letting the grass grow under our feet!"

Boughton has produced record sales across both its trade and retail sales division with the growth of its online business Garden Topsoil Direct. This performance has been achieved through the strategic direction developed and implemented by Simon, Richard and the rest of the Boughton team.
