Team Maintenance Service 5.5m 3 point linkage Swift roller mower
Doing the job right is the main driver behind Team Maintenance Services' policy in serving their customers. Not only are all their operators CRB/DRB checked and fully meet the stringent standards of Health & Safety regulations, but they also invest in highly reliable equipment, aiming to provide their customers the very best in quality of service.

Team Maintenance Services was established in 1998 by husband and wife team, John and Emily Julyan. The company is based in central Cornwall and provides full service landscape and grounds maintenance services to its private, public and local authority clientele.

Growth of the company over the past fourteen years is testament to the high standards they employ and they have found that by investing in the best people and equipment they can provide a very reliable service, day-in, day-out.

"Our contracts are mainly for schools and colleges, maintaining grass football and rugby pitches and external amenity areas for local authorities, said John Julyan, "we also have a PFI contract with Interserve and all our customers expect a quality job every time, on-time and that's what they get."

Reliable mowing equipment that provides a high quality finish year-in, year-out has been the prime focus for the company. They currently run two Major Swift Winged Roller Mowers, which have proven to be low maintenance and high performance - an important component in providing the best customer experience. Both mowers are three-point linkage mounted and the largest model is a folding, 5.5metre cut with a folded transport width of just 2.0metres.

Being fully mounted and over five metres cutting width, one would assume that it would need a larger tractor, but John Julyan finds it suits well on a medium-sized 105hp New Holland TD5 tractor.

"The mowers are built using Optim steel, which is light, but very strong, commented John, "it doesn't compromise the quality and durability of the machine. It also means we can achieve high output on a small, manoeuvrable tractor.

The two Major Swift Winged Roller Mowers are used five days a week for six months of the year, and the rest of the year is covered with one unit, just for maintenance purposes.

"We rarely have any issues with the Major mowers, commented John, "but if we do have a problem, Major and our local dealer are there in an instant to sort it out - I can't ask better of that. The mowers are simple to set-up, easy to use, and are very low maintenance compared to gang mowers. They have an excellent heavy-duty drive line providing a high tip speed on the blades that in itself gives a lovely striped finish. I'm really pleased with the quality and reliability of these mowers and it kind of reflects the same image that our company has with our customers. Quality, reliable and value-for money - and that's what we are all about" he concluded.

The MAJOR range of Swift roller mowers will be on display at Saltex, NEC Birmingham from November 4th to 5th 2015.
