New out-front mower for Hydro 124D
New out-front mower for Hydro 124D
By Jane Undery
At this year's SALTEX, amongst other innovative new products, Etesia will be unveiling its latest attachment - the MCF124 quick-fit out-front deck for the Hydro 124D ride-on rotary mower.
Designed as a finishing mower, this offset 65cm deck features a spring-loaded mechanism which, when an obstacle is touched, automatically retracts the deck, thus ensuring precise mowing around trees, fence posts, furniture, rubbish bins and other obstacles. Its low profile allows it to mow under shrubs, bushes, fence rails, caravans and other awkward areas. Castor wheels enable the floating deck to follow ground contours.
The front mounted MCF124 mower is hydraulically-driven via the front PTO of the Hydro 124D. The sturdy cutting deck has a single cutterbar with rear discharge for cut and drop applications. Where collection is required, side discharge directs clippings into the path of the host mower, thus enabling all debris to be collected by the ride-on in one pass.
When used in conjunction with the Hydro 124D, a total mowing width of 174cm is created - a 15cm overlap in the cutting units ensures that no band of grass is left uncut. This easy-to-use unit is operated from the driver's seat, thus ensuring full control and good all-round visibility when working around awkward areas or close to borders, shrubs, etc. The MCF124 has four cutting heights from 45mm to 125mm.For transporting between sites, the front-mounted cutting deck is lifted into the vertical position.
Etesia's high output Hydro 124D offers cost effective efficiency when cutting and collecting on large areas of grass. The ride-on's low decibel rating makes it ideal for use on noise sensitive sites, such as campsites, hotels, schools and hospitals. With the addition of the MCF124 out-front rotary deck, the Hydro 124D becomes the perfect solution for mowing beneath caravans and mobile homes; around flower borders and under shrubs. On football pitches, race courses and at other sporting venues, it neatly mows under rails and between fence posts.
