Snake at Raglan Parc Golf Course
A new video has been released by specialist turf mower manufacturer, Trimax, showing its latest Snake roller rotary mower in action at Raglan Parc Golf Club, Raglan, Monmouthshire.

The golf club is the first customer in the world to take delivery of the all-new, tractor-powered Snake mower, launched at BTME in Harrogate in January.

Accompanied by comments from course manager, Chris Rawlings, assistant greenkeeper, Sam Williams, and from Gareth Beck, grounds care manager with local Trimax dealer, Frank Sutton Ltd, the three-minute video focuses on the main operating features and benefits of the three-gang rotary turf mower.

The comments are supported by footage of the mower cutting both level and undulating areas of semi-rough at Raglan Parc Golf Club.

The main reasons given in the video by Chris Rawlings for selecting the Snake are its low maintenance requirements, ease of use and extremely competitive purchase price.

Since taking delivery, Chris and his greenkeeping team have been impressed also with the mower's quality of cut, its contour-hugging abilities and its cross-cut feature, which enables the mower's decks to be raised slightly above the ground without needing to disengage drive to the cutter blades.

As well as permitting cross-cutting of turf, the feature allows the mower to safely negotiate gravel roadways or paths and also get back to work quickly when turning at the end of a run.
