NS -Harehill Park.jpgYoungsters in the East Lancashire community of Littleborough are making the most of brand new playground facilities - thanks to a vibrant, tailor-made design by world-leading synthetic surfacing specialist Notts Sport.

The internationally acclaimed company may be well known for its versatile sports pitches used around the globe, but word is now fast spreading about the incredible benefits of its innovative ChildsPlay system too.

Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council (MBC) knows all about the advantages of a ChildsPlay installation, having called on Notts Sport for advice on the best options for a play area project at Hare Hill Park in Littleborough.

The wide range of play equipment being fitted as part of the scheme required a surfacing system to accommodate a number of different critical fall heights - and Notts Sport was able to meet these needs with a custom design.

Mark Bobrowicz, Playground Officer for Rochdale MBC, is impressed with the quality of the hard-wearing surface, which was fitted within two weeks by a Notts Sport-approved installer.

"We're delighted with the professional standard of service we received from Notts Sport," he says. "Our requirements for the playground at Hare Hill Park were very specific, but Notts Sport came up with a tailor-made solution and the finished result is absolutely fantastic.

"Since the play area opened, it has been a huge hit with the youngsters and they're certainly putting it through its paces! Thankfully, we know the ChildsPlay system is durable enough to keep going for years to come."

The highly-adaptable ChildsPlay system is the perfect way to refurbish an existing, run-down playground or to create a brand new play area from scratch.

With the new, lightweight NottsBase EPP tiles providing a specialist base layer, ChildsPlay is ideal for fast installation and offers enhanced safety with critical fall height protection of up to three metres.

Notts Sport's world-renowned VHAF NottsSward synthetic turf, which tops the system, is available in a palette of 15 different colours to mark out games, shapes and patterns for inspirational play.

Plus, the durable, vandalism-resistant surface can also be laid over concrete, Macadam - or over a stone base laid over grass - and covers irregular mounds or slopes as easily as flat ground.
