KVACTION.JPGPinnacle Power Equipment has announced an important new range ofvacuum sweepers to replace its ever-popular Billy Goat KD machines that feature in so many equipment sheds around the country.

With innovative design ideas for the 21st century such as zipperless collection bags and optional on-board hose kits, the new models require little maintenance and are quieter and more powerful than its predecessors.

Powered by a 6.5hp GSV Honda or 6hp Briggs & Stratton Quantum engines the vacs have five blade steel impellers with debris reducing knives for
efficient shredding and optional shredder screens to reduce the bulk even further.

Self-propelled models have a clever system where the drive to the rear wheels is increased as the bag fills up over the drive-wheels and therefore the traction is also increased, simple yet so effective. 30cm (12in.) wheels with semi-pneumatic turf tyres make manoeuvrability in tight spaces, on undulating ground and through thick leaves just a breeze.

Four-position height adjustment is selected from a single lever on the handlebars and the top-of-the-line TKV model also incorporates a chipper facility that takes branches up to 50mm (2in.).

The sweeping width of 27in. (68cm) has been maintained on the new range which can collect pinecones, leaves, grass clippings, bottles, cans, cigarette ends and more while moving forward at a comfortable walking pace.

A line-up of useful accessories including caster wheels and nozzle wear plate for hard surfaces is also available.

Pinnacle Power Equipment, based in Surrey, distributes Billy Goat Vacs solely in the UK. Pinnacle Managing Director, Ian Lobb, commented on the new range, "A product change such as this is not taken lightly. The Billy goat KD has been the best selling wheeled outdoor vacuum sweeper in the world for well over thirty years. To replace such a popular unit is always a brave move and is not done without much research and thought but I'm happy to say first indications from our dealers are that Billy Goat have got it right again."
