Press Releasein Football

Furious Partick Thistle chairman Allan Cowan will demand compensation from Glasgow Warriors rugby club for the postponement of their fourth round cup tie with Dunfermline.

Saturday's clash with the Pars was called off after a 1.45pm pitch inspection revealed the Firhill pitch was frozen.

When you consider we already had corporate parties inside Firhill dining before the game was called off at 1.45pm the whole affair was a disaster.
