The Ipswich part of the visit included a tour of Ransomes Jacobsen's European manufacturing plant, hosted by Managing Director David Withers and Sales Director, Alan Prickett. The group werre able to see the results of the £ multi-million investment that has taken place at Ipswich over the past three years, including the new robot welding facility and refurbished factory complex.

The second part of the visit was located in Scotland, where they visited Elmwood College at Cupar in Fife, followed by a visit to St. Andrews to view the greenkeeping facilities at the home of golf.

Gonçalo Carneiro, Chairman of AGP said, "I would like to express our gratitude for the magnificent tour we had of the Ransomes Jacobsen factory, where safety, quality, environmental issues and passion were reflected in David's talk. We all agreed that the commitment Ransomes Jacobsen put into our visit was beyond our expectations and we felt very proud on having David and Alan with us on that Saturday afternoon. Also, a special thanks for the support that they gave us with regard to our accommodation and meals.

"At St. Andrews we visited some of the maintenance facilities where we discussed with the greenkeepers at The Dukes, the Old Course, the Castle Course and at Elmwood, the procedures they use on a daily basis. They all agreed that Ransomes Jacobsen had a high quality input in their work."
