Prince Philip presents awards to playing fields supporters

At an annual award ceremony, the President of the NPFA, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh will present Certificates to the following people in recognition of their support for the playing fields movement.

The ceremony will take place at Buckingham Palace on 16 October 2007. Receipt of a Presidential Certificate is the highest honor awarded by the NPFA.

The recipients are:-

Glynn Thomas - Garston Urban Village Hall, NPFA

Leslie Hammond Pole - Woodhouse Parish Council, Leicestershire

Major Thomas William Hancock DL - Gloucestershire Playing Fields Association

Graham White - Sissinghurst Cricket Club, Kent

"All the recipients have given significant voluntary support to the NPFA and its work for playing fields over many years," said Alison Moore-Gwyn, Chief Executive of the National Playing Fields Association. "Their awards are richly deserved."
