R & K Kensett Ltd – Open Day at Fulford Heath Golf Club

Press Releasein Industry News

0907070023.JPGR & K Kensett are holding an Open Day in conjunction with Syngenta, Scotts, the STRI, and Amenity Land Solutions at Fulford Heath Golf Club on Tuesday 27th October and, as part of this, they will be officially launching the Bent and Fescue Seeder Attachments for the Graden Contour Sand Injection.

Latest News :- We have just been informed that Dr Ruth Mann, Head of Turfgrass Protection Department of the STRI, and one of the foremost European pesticide experts, is also now attending the Open Day. She will be presenting the STRI's trial work on the Enviromist Sprayers and will be more than happy to answer any questions on pesticide related problems. Keith Kensett is delighted to have her there, as she is extremely highly regarded and will be a huge asset to the day.

Machines being demonstrated will include the Graden Contour Sand Injection with seeder attachments, the Enviromist Sprayers, the PlanetAir from the US and the pedestrian GPAir deep probe aerator from New Zealand.

Kim Blake, Head Greenkeeper of Fulford Heath has used the Sand Injection machine for over a year now and has worked in conjunction with R & K Kensett and the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) with regard to ongoing overseeding trials. These trials have had spectacular results and the feedback from customers who have used this process is that they are delighted with the results.

The Enviromist sprayers have also undergone extensive trials with the STRI in which Kim Blake has been at the forefront, and once again, the results are extremely exciting. Dr Ruth Mann of the STRI has called this range of sprayers "the future of spraying".

The Enviromist SD5000 has also been used throughout the year by Kim, who has a lifelong experience of spraying and he has been extremely impressed with the accuracy, the contour following abilities (Fulford Heath Golf Club has one of the most uneven courses in the UK) and the fact that he can spray in the strongest of winds with this machine.

There will be talks by Andy Cole of the STRI, Mick Fance of Scotts, Simon Watson of Syngenta and Simon Barnaby, formerly of Syngenta and now freelance Agronomist, and of course, Keith Kensett and John Fitzpatrick will be demo'ing the various machines.

If you wish to attend, please let Keith Kensett know as soon as possible so that the caterers can be informed of numbers. Book now to confirm your place and avoid disappointment as numbers are limited.

Everyone looks forward to hearing from you and hope that you are able to join us for this exciting day.
