Reaseheath 0331.jpgJames Dentith, Grounds Manager and Head of the Commercial Horticulture Unit at Reaseheath College, has taken delivery of a package of grounds care equipment from Burrows (GM), Ransomes Jacobsen's local dealer for the region.

The fleet, which includes a Ransomes HR-3300T out-front rotary mower, a Ransomes Marquis 51 fine turf walk-behind mower, an Iseki TH4290 compact tractor, an electric E-Z-GO MPT 800 utility vehicle and an E-Z-GO ST480 utility vehicle, will be used to maintain 10 acres of ornamental grounds at the college.

Ian Clarke, Curriculum Leader, Horticulture who was the final decision maker during the negotiations said,
"We have upgraded our grounds care fleet as part of our rolling replacement programme. We have an extensive redevelopment programme at the college which has resulted in additional grounds to maintain. The Burrows team were excellent during the negotiations and we are delighted with the overall package."

Reaseheath 0340.jpgJames Dentith was a student at Reaseheath for four years before graduating and working for a local commercial nursery. Now, as Grounds Manager, he is responsible for three full-time staff and two trainees.

"We have a small team, so we need the best equipment that our budget allows. The Ransomes HR-3300T was by far and away the best machine we had here on demonstration; all the team liked it immediately and the ST is a great utility vehicle, absolutely superb."

"We have been judged by Ofsted as an Outstanding College and we are a national training facility for Case and New Holland, so it's important that we keep up standards across the faculty and that includes ensuring that the grounds are in the very best condition at all times."
