Rockcliffe Hall Golf Resort hosts successful Everris golf day

Forty-two Course Managers from across the north east of England gathered at Rockliffe Hall Hotel & Golf Resort in Darlington in April for a golf competition hosted by Everris.

The event, which had to be cancelled last year due to flooding, was once again shaped by the weather, as sharp downpours and gusts of up to 50mph made the playing one of Europe's longest courses even more challenging.

The two-tee start Stableford competition was won by the four-ball team of Brian Wigham, Danny Burrows, Dave Jobey and James Kelledy, while Adrian Partridge recorded the longest drive and Adam Lund took the prize for getting nearest the pin on the 12th hole.

Simon Hardcastle, Everris's Technical Area Sales Manager for the north east, said: "It was a challenging day out on the course, but everyone who played appreciated the stunning condition of the course. To have creeping bentgrass greens in that condition after the cold, slow start to spring we've had is testament to the hard work of Davy Cuthbertson, Pete Newton, John Wyre and their team."

Everris supplies a wide range of professional fertilizers, plant protection products, grass seed blends and specialist products to turf managers around the world through a network of distributors.
