Royal recognition for machinery marvel
Rugged simplicity has earned Shelton Sportsturf Drainage Solutions of Baumber, Lincolnshire a top award at this year's Royal Show.
Winning the prestigious Royal Agricultural Society of England's (R.A.S.E.) Silver Medal will mean pride of place for the Shelton Supertrencher 625 and Supertrencher 710 in the machinery area at the show taking place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire from 1-4 July 2007.
The award is unique in that it is based on a rigorous examination of the performance of these machines in the hands of commercial users.
"These are items of quality engineering" comments member of the judging panel, Brian Finney. "They both have simple design and splendid construction; it's absolutely right they should be the centre pieces of the Royal's machinery showcase".
Another judge said "Shelton has the best package on the market - quality of the machine, the job done and the company support".
