Safety first from Ransomes Jacobsen at Bali's 'Coping with Slopes' Event
The Ransomes Jacobsen team, complete with a selection of specialist mowers, were present at the BALI's National Contractors' Forum 'Coping with Slopes' event hosted by Severn Trent Water at Draycote Water.
The over-subscribed event, focussing on risks associated with mowing slopes and the management of embankments, attracted in excess of 150 attendees and 12 exhibiting companies, which ensured the day was a resounding success.
The day began with presentations by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL), followed by demonstrations from the exhibitors who had brought along a selection of equipment.
Nick Penn, Ransomes Jacobsen's Regional UK Trade Sales Manager commented, "This was an exceptionally well organised event and BALI together with Severn Trent Water, should be congratulated. The quality of attendees from all the major contracting companies was superb and we were able to spend quality time with many of them.

"As always, our range of remote-controlled slop mowers, the Ransomes Spider, drew the crowds and possibly the only negative was that the slopes chosen for the demonstration area could have been steeper, so that we could really demonstrate the capabilities of the machines.
"However, a great day and we shall be definitely be attending the next event in spring 2015."
