Scotts offers Hi-Tech approach and Expert Advice
To highlight its position in the turfcare industry as a Total Solution Provider, Scotts Professional is featuring a technical advice centre at the Saltex show. Dr Kate Entwistle, of the Turf Disease Centre, and Scotts Turf & Amenity technical product manager Simon Barnaby will be on hand to diagnose turf diseases and problem weeds. Visitors are invited to bring along a sample of their problem to the stand, where the experts will help to find a solution.
The company is also revealing the latest trials results on its turf growth regulator Primo MAXX and Greenmaster Liquids fertilizer range. Hailed as a revolutionary new product, Primo MAXX is designed for use on all forms of turf, from the finest golf greens to sports pitches and landscaping applications. Using unique chemistry, it makes turf stronger by increasing both root and lateral shoot growth.
It works by blocking the production of gibberellic acid late in the cycle, which effectively limits cell elongation. The result is a shorter distance between the shoot nodes, leading to more compact root growth. While the vertical growth is slowed, both root and lateral growth are boosted, creating stronger, healthier turf.
Scotts' improved range of Greenmaster Liquid fertilizers provides turf managers with the most advance nutrition system, thanks to the addition of cutting edge technology developed by Scotts R & D.
The improved products are based on more than just NPK and trace elements. Every product in the range now includes TMax - a powerful nutrient uptake activator - which improves the rate of nutrient intake by the grass plant and ensures the turf has a consistent colour with no rapid tail-off.
Scotts is also launching some exciting new products for turf, amenity and aquatic applications.
