Silly sod!
Fabio Capello has become a right pain in the grass in a bizarre bust-up over Wembley's pitch.
The turf-talking England boss wants each blade to be only 17mm long and has been to measure it with a ruler!
But groundsman Steve Welch is adamant the grass should be 2mm higher.
An England insider said: "This may sound ridiculous - but it just shows how Fabio leaves nothing to chance.
"It is thought he has been using his own ruler and does not agree with the groundsman.
"But of course the groundsman has to protect the field of play and obviously thinks he knows what's best for it."
The Wembley pitch has been criticised ever since the new stadium opened in March last year.
The hallowed turf suffers because it stages other events apart from football - notably NFL game - which chew it to bits.
There was also a tarmac surface laid over it at the weekend to allow the Race of Champions to take place at the stadium.
The extra events make Welch's job even more difficult.
The Wembley turf is being relayed this week well ahead of England's next home match - a friendly against Slovakia on March 28.
The insider added: "You can be sure Fabio will want the grass at 17mm and you can be sure he will be checking it!"
