Sole Groundsperson
Founded in 1894, Ibstock Place School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils ages 4 to 18.

They are seeking to appoint a Sole Groundsperson who will be part of the Maintenance Team and will report to the Head Gardener.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm, 40 Hours per week including 1 hour per day unpaid lunch break with a six months probationary period.
Extra hours, including weekends, may be worked by mutual agreement with the Facilities Manager.
Weekend work is an enhanced rate. Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year.
We are looking to recruit a person who:
- Has previous experience as a Grounds person or similar
- Possesses sound knowledge and experience in the use of appropriate equipment and machinery
- A full understanding of field markings
- Experience of mechanical repairs and the ability to mend machinery and make small repairs
- Knowledge and experience of working with synthetic sports pitches/surface
- Ability to use safely working-at-height equipment such as ladders and steps
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised, as well as within a team
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Competent, physically fit, capable of hard manual labour and comfortable working outdoors in all weathers and seasons
- D1 License (desirable)
