Press Releasein Industry News

SS2010_01pic.jpgAs we emerge from one of the coldest winters on record, it is comforting to know that not all things in the sportsturf industry have been frozen solid. In Scotland and the North of England, Souters Sports, a specialist sports turf contractor offering sports turf construction, reconstruction, drainage and maintenance of all natural grass playing services has recently added to their already impressive portfolio with the creation of a new irrigation company, Souters Irrigation Services Limited (SISL).

Formed from the recent purchase of the installation division of Turf Irrigation Services (Scotland) by Souters Sports and headed up by former TIS Design Engineer Robert Smith, the new company is set to make a big impact on the industry by enhancing Souters Sports already excellent reputation for quality and value and further developing the irrigation business for the company both in Scotland and the North of England.

"Over the past few years we have worked closely with TIS on several high profile projects so it was a natural progression to bring the specialist irrigation equipment and experienced labour force into the Souters family," commented Stewart Aird, Managing Director of Souters Sports. "We now have the ability to offer all of our clients a fantastic range of services that few in the industry can rival".

Managing Director of TIS (Scotland), Quentin Allardice added: "TIS can now look forward to focussing and further developing our already well respected irrigation consultancy and irrigation servicing divisions which we have expanded ready for the new season".
