STRI are launching 3 new book titles commissioned by the R & A :-

All 3 titles are part of the ecology series "Studies in Golf Course Management". Although written in response to golf course management and maintenance issues, the information is equally suited to the management and maintenance requirements of parks, recreational areas, National Trust sites, historical estates, private and public gardens. Aimed at an audience with varying knowledge and experience, each title provides the user with a concise source of reference. The books detail not only the need for management but the important background, biology, ecology and conservation significance.

During the show the new titles will be on special offer if purchased as a set. Retail price is £7.50 each. Special show price for the set of 3 will be £18.00.

The one-day course will provide information on the latest techniques, new research and current issues surrounding the care of private and public turf areas. Including many aspects of turfgrass management and maintenance; suitability and choice of grasses; coping with high visitor levels; selecting and laying turf; controlling pests, weeds and diseases; nutrition and how to feed your turf; selection of suitable machinery; irrigation and drainage. Presentations will emphasise practical aspects in a hands-on workshop style approach, delivered by the STRI Agronomy Team, Research staff and Consultancy Specialists.
