Fentons of Bourne demo 1.jpgClose to 100 compact tractor users attended a specialist working demonstration presented in late September by Massey Ferguson Grounds Care machinery dealer, Fentons of Bourne.

Hosted by South Holland Growers Club at Whaplode, near Spalding, Lincolnshire, the event attracted end-users with a diversity of compact tractor requirements ranging from estate and grounds maintenance to glasshouse crop production.

Among the tractors shown on display and in action were seven models from the MF1500 Series, which encompasses the 19hp to 46hp power band. Two of the tractors were from the recently-introduced MF1500 A (Agricultural) specification range featuring a mid-mounted forward folding roll bar, mechanical transmission and rear linkage draft control, standard features designed to appeal to market gardeners, smallholders and growers working in glass houses and polytunnels.

Sales Director of Fentons, Glen Bellamy, commented that the interest shown during the day was very encouraging. "We received a number of quality enquiries and have taken bookings also for several demonstrations at customers' own premises," he said. "The event proved a great success and we will certainly be looking to repeat the exercise in future."
