Synthetic surfacing supplier Notts Sport promotes long-serving employees
The four new directors are Steve Foxon (Director of Technical Services), Rebecca Wood (Director of Finance and Operations), Mark Coeshaw (Director of Cricket and Play) and Zec Tomlinson (Director of Export), who have an incredible 65 years of service with the company between them.
They join Notts Sport's existing directors, chairman Shaun Patrick and Sales Director Duncan Bennett.
Shaun says: "Duncan, Steve, Zec, Becky and Mark have all shown a strong desire to make Notts Sport the number one brand in the sport and play surfacing market. All five of them are committed to high levels of customer service and supplying top quality solutions for our clients."
It's an exciting time for the Leicestershire-based company, which was named as England Hockey's first ever Official Facilities Partner last year and has been experiencing a great deal of interest in its sport and play solutions.
The business enjoys partnerships and affiliations with a number of leading industry bodies for sports, play and leisure, including the ECB and ICC (International Cricket Council) Europe.
Steve (45) has been with Notts Sport in various roles for 20 years, with the past 12 years working in technical services.
He says: "I am very pleased to be taking on the role and the responsibility that comes with it. We have some exciting projects coming up that will introduce new and innovative products to the industry and I will be looking at ways improve and streamline the company further, in particular with regards to our ISO 9001 certification."
Rebecca (28) has worked her way up in the company since starting as an office junior in 2005. She explains: "I am looking forward to being a proactive director, improving business efficiency and influencing the achievement of financial performance. We have a fantastic team at Notts Sport and I can't wait to get started on developing and strengthening our successes this year."
42-year-old Mark has been in the Notts Sport fold for 16 years and says: "Having enjoyed various business development roles at Notts Sport over many years, I know from first-hand experience what a forward-thinking company it is, with exceptional products and ethical core values at its heart.
"With a fantastic team of passionate, high-calibre, professional people currently in place throughout the business, I am honoured and delighted to lead the Cricket and Play teams onward toward their goals, building upon the already fantastic progression achieved in recent years."
Zec, also 42, started at Notts Sport in 1996 as a regional sales manager and has been Export Sales Manager since 2003.
"The role will involve increasing the turnover and profitability of the export sales at Notts Sport by identifying and appointing new high-quality distributors to our network and providing them with the necessary support, both out in the field and back at the office in Lutterworth," he comments.
"This is particularly the case in North America where our products have huge potential. Maximising the opportunities our product range gives us with our current export distributors will also be a key part of the new role."
