Talk of the Course Episode 1 #GroundsWeek

The Racecourse Association (RCA) is pleased to share the first episode of its new podcast, Talk of the Course. 

Talk of the Course is designed to shed a light on the best practice emanating from racecourse teams across the country, covering all aspects of racecourse operation. It is written, produced and hosted by the RCA’s executive team.

Episode 1 is a celebration of the Grounds Management Association’s #GroundsWeek campaign, and features an interview with Andrew Morris, Racing Director at Newmarket Racecourses and Raceday Clerk of the Course at Huntingdon Racecourse. In the episode, Andrew discusses the technology he and his team are embracing to improve data-led decision making. He also chats about the training opportunities available to groundstaff via the RCA and GMA and explores the challenges facing groundstaff and the initiatives that have been introduced at Newmarket to help with team welfare and moral. Finally, the episode also includes the first edition of the RCA's #quick-fire-five, which helps listeners learn more about our guests and the personalities behind British racing.
