TORO Reelmaster for Saints FC

Newly promoted Southampton FC has become the latest club to invest in a Toro Reelmaster 3100-D mower - a firm football favourite.

The club - nicknamed 'The Saints' - has invested in the mower to help maintain its four-and-a-half-acre training ground in Marchwood. With the machine joining grounds manager Andy Gray's existing Toro Reelmaster 2000-D and Groundsmaster 4700-D mowers, he says Toro was the natural choice.

"I've worked here for 14 years now and we've always used Toro," he explains. "So when we needed the new mower we got a few machinery makes in on demo and chose the Toro because it was the best of what we saw on the day and based on our good experience using Toro historically. The lads certainly enjoy using it as they like to have the latest machinery. The 3100-D is quieter, too, and we also like the out-front mowing as you're sitting on the units for a better view of what you're doing."

Andy says the club is now considering investing in more Toro machines as part of the training ground's expansion programme.
