UK and Ireland golf turf professionals pool ideas

with Toro at customer feedback event in Marbella

Toro has staged a customer feedback event for UK and Ireland golf turf professionals, as part of its worldwide programme aimed at working in close partnership with course managers and greenkeepers.

Thirty-two of them attended the four-day get-together at the picturesque southern Spanish resort of Marbella, which was organised by The Toro Company and its UK and Ireland distributor, Lely.

Lely's Toro equipment national sales manager Jeff Anguige said: "The focus was on education and communication. We held round-table discussions and pooled ideas about course professionals' machinery needs now and in the future, and learned more about how greenkeeping is evolving from their perspective."

And irrigation products sales manager Graeme Francis said: "As well as briefings about new products and developments, the purpose was also to canvass customers' opinions about all aspects of the business. The feedback we got was extremely valuable and a lot of good things were said about Toro irrigation."

The group was also treated to a tour of the golf course at Valderrama, to learn more about their irrigation and turf machinery methods.
