Wheels, lawnmowers and strimmers taken in third groundskeeping burglary in a week in Sutton Bridge area

Police are investigating a third burglary of groundskeeping equipment in the space of five days.

Wheels, lawnmowers and strimmers were taken from a workshop on Hospital Road, Sutton Bridge overnight between Sunday and Monday.

This follows on from two similar incidents in the Suttons last week.

The first incident, at Sutton Bridge Golf Club, took place overnight on June 21-22 when an outbuilding was broken into and a John Deere Gator was taken along with three chainsaws and a petrol strimmer.

The second incident, at Long Sutton Cricket Club, happened the following night on the June 22-23.

Padlocks were cut in order to break into a garage.

A petrol strimmer, air blower and two spreaders (lawn mower attachments) were taken, along with a tool box and a grass raking machine.
