James Hutchinson is the winner of June's Photo Competition with his evocative image of a single poppy at the side of a fairway at Fairhaven Golf Club.

James is an keen ecologist and spends a lot of time promoting and advising on conservation practices and the management of golf course ecology.

James receives a £100 voucher to spend in the Pitchcare Store (awarded to all monthly winners) and his successful entry will go into the final selection of monthly winning photographs for the chance to win a Camera Bundle, to be decided at the end of the year.

This month's (July) theme is Shadows, a challenging subject that will, hopefully, encourage some interesting submissions. This theme allows you to be creative and to take advantage of the longer summer days experienced in July.
