MM9 Grass Seed is a 100% Bent mixture, it provides an excellent formulation for summer overseeding and autumn renovation of top quality golf and bowling greens.
This 100% Browntop Bent seed mixture produces a fine, dense sward which gives an excellent playing surface. Browntop Bent is a densely tufted perennial grass with short rhizomes which makes it particularly tolerant of close mowing. Browntop Bent is known for being resistant to a number of fungal diseases and to cold. These qualities result in a hard wearing surface with good year round colour.

HEADSTART® GOLD is the improved seed technology that works to help improve amenity grass establishment in all situations. This, in addition to the quality of MM seed, provides turf with the best available start in all reseeding of sports and amenity circumstances. Used in all the Designer ranges, HEADSTART® GOLD covers areas in association with Winter Sports, Summer Sports, Golf, Landscapes with Ryegrass and Landscapes without Ryegrass.
It's always difficult trying to get establishment on greens because of the environment here. But the results we've tended to have are through hollow coring. Once we've cored, we then do our overseeding with MM9 and this gives the seed a better chance to establish
We use MM9 anywhere between three and six times a year and have always had successful results. It produces a good colour all-year-round, it's hard wearing and is disease resistant.
