The role

Join Pitchcare - the leading print and digital publication in the turfcare industry, where you’ll create engaging, practical, and story-led content that celebrates the craft of turfcare and supports the professionals who keep sports surfaces performing at their best.

What you’ll do

This role blends hands‑on sector understanding with creative magazine and digital content. You’ll turn real‑world turfcare knowledge into content that educates, inspires and engages the turfcare industry.

  • Turfcare storytelling - Capture the experiences, challenges, and successes of grounds teams in a relatable, down‑to‑earth way.

  • Practical knowledge sharing - Translate technical turfcare topics into clear, accessible content that helps professionals in the field.
  • Community connection - Build relationships with grounds staff, suppliers, and educators to keep content grounded in real practice.
  • Platform management - Support the planning, scheduling, and optimisation of content across digital channels.
  • On‑site visits - Spend time at pitches, courses, estates, and facilities to gather authentic stories and visuals.

What you’ll bring

  • A natural storyteller - Able to spot the human angle and turn everyday work into compelling content.
  • Digital confidence - Comfortable with video, social media, mobile content creation, and basic editing tools.
  • Sector awareness - Experience in turfcare, grounds, greenkeeping, or a strong interest in learning quickly.
  • Clear communication - Able to explain technical topics simply and accurately.
  • Creativity - You enjoy experimenting with formats, visuals, and new ways to engage an audience.
  • Relationship building - Comfortable speaking with grounds teams and industry partners.
