14 years on - a replacement!

MJT Contracts Ltd has finally replaced the first TRILO SG1100 Clean Sweep to come to the UK, after 14 years of continuous use.

The Corporation of London took delivery of their new SG1100b for use on Hampstead Heath. They have their whole litter and bin emptying system based around the TRILO machinery. It enables them to mechanically empty the bins by using the cab controlled joystick, meaning they need not touch the waste.

Thanks to its huge capacity (11 cubic metres) they can go for a long time without emptying. The original machine has moved over 5000 tonnes of litter, that's around 7 tonnes a week! The new machine has noise and dust reduction system fitted, along with several new options that were not available 14 years ago!

The "Old Faithful" machine will be kept for use in high season to help ease the work load, so she hasn't retired just yet!
