Press Release

Course Care has been on the road with their Compost Makers, demonstrating the machines at Woodsome Hall golf club, The Berkshire golf club, Canford School, Gog Magog golf club and Millfield School. All were attended by interested parties from surrounding areas and much interest was shown in the effective machines. Millfield were so impressed, they ordered one straightaway!

The p.t.o. driven Compost Makers (available in 5, 9 and 15 cubic metre capacities) were in action chopping, shredding, mashing and mixing their way through hollow tines cores, leaves, grass clippings, twigs, small branches, green kitchen waste, cardboard (usually courtesy of the pro-shop!) and one or two pallets!

"Composting is the way forward" said Course Care's David Mears "Our compost makers are proving to be popular machines and are making composting easy. The 5 cubic metre model only requires a 40 h.p. p.t.o. output and is so transportable. All can be taken to various locations on the course or grounds to collect a variety of material. Back at the composting area, the p.t.o. is engaged to create the compostable product and then the elevator is lowered and, creeping forward, a windrow is built. Yes one machine really does everything!"
