Dennis, To be Precise

STAND B32

AnthonyFrost.jpgPrecision will be the hallmark of the Dennis stand at BTME, with grass cutting machinery that gives the highest quality finish, plus the ability to fine-tune products to meet greenkeeper's precise needs.

The Simplex 610 pedestrian cylinder mower has quickly gained a reputation for providing the perfect finish on golf tees. The 610mm (24in) cutting width machine has a five-blade cylinder of 152mm (6in) diameter and gives a mowing rate of 80 cuts/metre. It's simple design and excellent results ensure a cost effective performance from this tees hand mower.

The Sport Mk2 shows Dennis' ability to tailor machinery to meet customers' changing demands. The company now offers the 22in (560mm) cutting width unit with an ergonomically designed low vibration handlebar and the popular 'click' height of cut adjustment system for tool-free alterations in 0.5mm increments. The machine is also available as the Sport Ultra, with a powerful tungsten tipped groomer for that ultimate finish. To minimise the wheelbase, the two position front roller settings allow for an interlocking grooved roller or a solid type.

The dual-purpose S500 from the Dennis stable offers great versatility for surface aeration or overseeding of greens, with the option of spiking or seed slotting reels. The 20in (500mm) wide unit has a variable operating speed, a turntable for simple 90° and 180° turns, and detachable transport wheels, enabling use in wet conditions without turf damage.

The S500 is the choice of professionals in golf greenkeeping and in other turf care spheres. Anthony Frost, Head Gardener at the Potters Leisure Resort in Norfolk, home of the World Indoor Bowls Championships, is a keen user. "We use the S500 for spot-treatment aeration on our outdoor greens. It improves drainage and promotes healthy grass growth," he says.

For greenkeepers seeking the maximum in equipment versatility, Dennis FT cylinder mowers can be fitted with numerous cassette attachments for essential tasks, including several cutting cylinders, scarifiers, verti-cutters, a turf brush, a slitter and a roller. This enables one machine to do the work of many.

Being designed and built by Dennis at their Derby headquarters, all equipment is ideally suited to UK greenkeepers' needs. Dennis are also able to respond quickly to customers' requirements.

"Our machines are engineered for total performance," says Managing Director, Ian Howard. "They are easy to use with simple controls, and have at their heart Honda engines, which are renowned for their performance and reliability."

"Our strong dealer network backed by the Dennis Sales team ensure prompt demonstrations, training, advice and after sales service. We look forward to welcoming existing and new customers to our stand."
