IOG Scotsturf will be Bigger and Better

Press Release

For the first time in over 25 years, the IOG Scotsturf show (9-10 November, Royal Highland Showground, Edinburgh) is staging a demonstration zone featuring the construction of a bowling green as well as a sprayer safety zone complete with 'faulty' boom sprayer for visitors to inspect.

In the zone adjacent to the main IOG Scotsturf exhibition hall, a team of students from Elmwood College will build a green using all necessary materials - including turf - and utilising a micro JCB to construct drains and bunkers, for example.

In addition, visitors to the 'sprayer information area' will be able to gain details of the Sprayer Initiative while discovering about sprayer maintenance good practice and, crucially, also hearing about the consequences of not adhering to the correct procedures!

A boom sprayer with 10 deliberately-induced faults will also be on show, and visitors will be invited to inspect the equipment and possibly win a prize.

The demonstration zone is the latest development by IOG Scotsturf to make the show 'the biggest and best' on record.

With more than 70 companies exhibiting - including many leading industry names - the show also features an unmissable educational seminar and discussion programme formulated to appeal to a wide range of grounds care and open space management professionals.
