More innovation from Campey

By Editor

Living up to their reputation for innovation, Campey Turf Care Systems will launch their new Raycam Core Harvester at BTME 2004on Stand B35, designed to dramatically speed up an important turf management operation, along with new True Level Vibrating Greens Rollers. With their triple roller design, these create a smooth playing surface to give faster ball roll. Full details will be available at the Show, where the Macclesfield-based company will have an exciting new stand highlighting its full product portfolio.

Turf professionals will be able to inspect models from the Koro range of cost-effective turf management equipment, which more and more grounds managers are talking about. Actually designed by a Groundsman, Koro machines enable fast rejuvenation of sports fields without undue reliance on turf chemicals or outside materials. FieldTopmaker2.jpg

Koro units include the Field Topmaker, which slices of the top ground layer to remove thatch and improve drainage, and the Koro Recycling Dresser, which breaks up compacted soil and recycles it as a ready-made top-dressing. The Koro Top Drain rapidly cuts drainage trenches and fills them with sand.

The new-look Campey stand will also feature a neat solution to materials handling tasks around golf courses and sports grounds in the form of the Super Scub Hydra motorised tipping wheelbarrow. Featuring hydrostatic drive for easy operation, the unit has an unusually strong tipper body that can accommodate materials like concrete and hardcore, or implements like excavator buckets.

Maximum payload is an impressive 750kg and the Super Scub's narrow 85cm (34in) width means it can go through standard-size doorways and gates. "With more golf courses tackling renovation and construction work themselves, the petrol-powered Super Scub is a godsend," says Managing Director Richard Campey.

Details will be available on the other popular machines in the Campey line-up, including the Dakota range of high work-rate top-dressers, the large trailed Nunes rotary mulching mower decks, and the Raycam Hi-Lift Trailer that loads top-dressing machines quickly and removes laborious manual handling. In addition, Campey will be introducing their new Tines Direct service, for the speedy replacement of quality tines for deep aeration.
