Tractors from New Holland, the brand that is famous worldwide in agricultural and construction markets, are now strongly established in the groundcare industry. New Holland's ability to supply machines with the power and performance that turf professionals require, backed by the total service support they need, is leading to growing demand amongst professional users.

By listening to turf managers' comments, New Holland has established a comprehensive tractor line-up for all requirements, featuring remarkable power, high work-rates, and superior performance. Their machines also benefit from modern styling that is ergonomically advanced and aesthetically pleasing.

The latest additions to the line-up are the TC31D-A and TC35D-A, which have 31hp and 35hp capacities respectively, and further enhance the breadth of New Holland's TCD-A range, which is particularly popular with greenkeepers. To minimise weight and the risk of compaction, New Holland has used the same chassis as is used on the existing 27hp TC27D-A. This gives more power without any significant weight increase. New tyre options are also offered for the optimum tractor footprint. Both models have 4-wheel drive and can be fitted with New Holland's unique SuperSteer™ front axle, giving an unrivalled 76° of turn angle.

New Holland's aim to design tractors for the 21st century is reflected by the modern styling throughout the TCD-A range. Their curvaceous panels look good and are highly practical, such as the sloping engine hood, whose narrow profile gives excellent all-round visibility.

Other recent introductions include the innovative TZ Sub Compact Tractors, particularly suitable for professionals working in cramped locations and busy urban environments. Available with 21hp and 24hp diesel engines, and only 1175mm wide, they can travel easily along pavements, yet have enough power to tackle demanding tasks. Operation is easy thanks to power steering, and two-range hydrostatic transmission gives infinite speed control. The TZ tractors, which have been homologated for use in Europe, can be fitted with dedicated mid-mounting mower decks.

New Holland has also added powerful 4-cylinder models to its TND-A and TNS-A line-ups of utility tractors. The introduction of the 82hp TN85D-A and TN85S-A models, and the 90hp TN95D-A, means that the successful TN-A Series now incorporates four models from 59hp-90hp, covering all requirements. The 4.5-litre, Tier 2 engines give more power, higher torque and enhanced performance for high work-rate professionals. They also benefit from extended 600-hour service intervals. The TN-A Series tractors can be specified with New Holland's 'Blue Cab' for optimum user comfort. Its pressurised cab sealing system ensures that only air that has been passed through the anti-pollen and air recirculation filters enters the cabin.

Exemplifying its commitment to customer service, New Holland has a purpose-built parts facility in Daventry, Northamptonshire, exclusively for the UK and Ireland. The facility holds spares and assemblies for more than 35,000 part numbers. Deliveries can be made to dealers by 8am next day.

Not surprisingly, New Holland tractors are finding favour with major public and private sector users. These include prestigious names like the Royal & Ancient Golf Club at St Andrews, Royal Troon, Glasgow Rangers, Blackburn Rovers and the All England Tennis Club Wimbledon.
